If I were to say the first drawing I ever created, I wouldn’t have an answer. This wasn’t even my first pen and ink drawing. It is though, my first pen and ink drawing of a barn. A long time ago a dear lady who acclaimed it to be one of her favorite places to go, showed this place to me. Unable to resist I brought paper and I think charcoal to sketch the mill. I remember two young girls approaching me to watch me draw. One staying longer had quite an interest in my endeavor. This piece has always held my interest and not knowing it at the time, sparked my desire to draw old wooden structures. The Mill is located at Moore State Park in Paxton, Ma.
